Privacy Policy

Equus 101 Pty Ltd (referred to as "Publisher", "we", "our", or "us") is subject to the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. This Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement explains how Publisher collects and protects the privacy of personal information about you collected by the Publisher or provided by you to Publisher via our website or from other sources.

This Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement does not apply in relation to acts and practices of Publisher which relate directly to records of present and former employees of Publisher .


Your Personal Information - Collection

Publisher generally collects personal information about each user directly from the user when they register, use or deal with Publisher over the telephone or by letter or e-mail.

The typical information collected of each user includes users name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, source/origin and product preferences.


Disclosure Statement

Publisher collects personal information for all or some of the following purposes::

    • providing ahead of market notifications of current events and updated services and information to users about all
      things Equus 101; and
    • request for feedback and participation in surveys to help increase the quality, delivery methods, processes and range
      of products and services offered by Equus 101: and
    • provide the service via our network service and/or other such services that the user has subscribed to.

If users do not provide all the informations required Publisher may not be able to deliver the result the user has requested. Failure to comply with the correct submission details will result in a response being generated to the user informing them that their request has not been able to be completed until further information is provided.

In the event that Publisher has collected users personal information from a third party source Publisher will take reasonable steps to contact the user and ask their permission to include them on the services Publisher has available. If no response or a no is returned that users personal information shall be deleted immediately.


Use or Disclosure of Users Personal Information

Publisher will use and disclose personal information for the primary purpose for which the personal information was collected or for purposes related to or ancillary to that primary purpose. Publisher does not disclose collected personal information to third parties other than its partners, company representatives or administrative service area of Equus 101.
Publisher will not provide user's information to third parties to directly market products and services to users.

In the event that additional services firms or contractors are employed by Publisher these parties are prohibited from using collected personal information about users, except for the specific purpose for which that personal information has been supplied by Publisher to these service providers.


Other Persons Personal Information

Only information provided directly to Publisher about that person shall be retained by Publisher. Unless a person has authorised Publisher that a secondary party can act on their behalf that originating persons personal information shall not be collected, used or retained by Publisher.


Access to Personal Information by Users

Users can request from Publisher access to the personal information held by Publisher about them, subject to any limitations or exceptions in the Privacy Act.

Requests for such information shall be replied to within 14 days. Requests for such information must be submitted in writing with the witnessed signature of the requesting User.

Reasons why Publisher may refuse to provide such access to the personal information of a user shall be provided to that user in writing, in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act.


Security of Systems Management of Personal Information

Publisher provides various systems management protection measures to ensure security of user's personal information.

Systems management protections specifically aim to eliminate any possible breaches of user's personal information being misused or disclosed without authorization. This is a global protection which means that the user's personal information shall not be copied, transferred or provided in any means, paper or electronic, within or outside of Australia without the users approval to do so.

Publisher provides for information storage of users Personal Information to be in hard copy or electronic storage.

Physical security is managed by Publisher to the paper and electronic data information storage systems.


Users Responsibility to Keep Information Current

Whilst Publisher takes reasonable steps to ensure users personal information is up-to-date when collected or used by Publisher users are expected as part of their agreement with Publisher in providing their personal information to also ensure it is kept updated. Notification to Publisher of any change to personal information is requested 'within a fair and reasonable time' of that change.
